Sabio is going to continue to develop its career-focused curriculum in web development for underserved communities as part of its commitment to the White House TechHire Initiative. The White House TechHire Initiative is a new campaign to get more Americans rapidly trained for well-paying technology jobs. Sabio will also beggin working with the philanthropic community to establish a fellowship for at least 100 women of color through a Women of Color Coding Fellowship.

Our own Liliana Aide Monge said, "Sabio has always been dedicated to getting more women and people of color into the tech industry from day one. In partnering with the White House TechHire Initiative, we will work with employers and recruiters in Los Angeles and throughout the country to create a web development curriculum that targets underserved communities."

"We are also establishing a Women of Color Fellowship Fund that will give at least 100 women scholarships of $13,450 that will enable them to enroll in Sabio’s 12-week coding bootcamp, which includes interview preparation and ongoing professional development for five years after fellows complete the intensive training."

TechHire is a multi-sector initiative and call to action to empower Americans with the skills that they need to work in technology related jobs. Sabio is proud to be part of this effort in being a resource to train underserved communities.
